The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, demons, and malevolent powers growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team includes Teor (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could help the team access locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them few options but to journey toward the remote area in search of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Viewers can expect finding out which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
